The length of the extension cable is based on the swimming pool design drawing or the customer's actual measurement. The factors that affect the length of the extension cable are mainly the following two points:

1. The accurate distance from the power room or power source to the pool.
2. Whether extension cables are needed between the pool light strips for interconnection.

 

For example, for the swimming pool lighting scheme shown in the picture, we can easily calculate the required extension cord length in two parts.

1. The distance from the power room to the pool is: 10 meters.
2. The extension cable between the pool light strips is: 10 meters.

 

Therefore, the customer needs to purchase 20 meters extension cables.

Yes, our swimming pool light adopts the patented technology of glue filling and sealing to realize the real IP68 waterproof level, and the maximum underwater installation depth is 2 meters. 24V low-voltage design eliminates high-voltage risks from the source.

Wi-Fi controller and App connection method:

A.Enable Bluetooth on your phone and connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Download the PaneraLux App via the QR code on the controller and complete the registration to access the app's home page.

B.The connection steps between the Wi-Fi controller and the app are as follows: Set the controller to either single-color or RGB mode, enter pairing mode, and then pair with the app. Note: The controller indicator light in white indicates white & blue light mode, and in red indicates RGB mode.

Using RGB controller as an example:

1. Long-press the button on the controller; after 3 seconds, the indicator light will go off and then light up in purple.
2. Keep pressing without releasing to enter the light mode selection. The indicator light will cycle through white-yellow-red-green-blue lights. Release the button when the indicator light turns red. The indicator light will flash purple light twice and then stay red. Then the controller enters RGB mode.
3. Quickly press the controller button twice, and both the indicator light and the light strip will rapidly blink purple. The controller enters pairing mode.
4. On the app's home page, click "Add device" to enter a new page. Under "discovering devices," click "Add" and then click "+" to select the controller. (At this point, a Wi-Fi connection page will appear. Input your home Wi-Fi information; 5G Wi-Fi is not supported at this time.)
5. Wait a few seconds for the controller and app to successfully connect. (If the connection fails, you can click to reconnect.)

 

Our app can control 2 or more Wi-Fi controllers at the same time, the steps are as follows:

1. Follow the steps above to pair all controllers with the App.
2. Rename each controller for easy operation. Click the paired controllers to enter the single controller interface, click the Edit button on the upper right corner to change the controller name, for example: "controller A", “controller B”, “controller C”…etc
3. Enter any controller interface, find "Create Group" in the upper right corner of the editing page, add all the paired controllers successfully and save it.
4. Enter the group interface, you can synchronize all the paired controllers.

First connect the Zigbee gateway to the APP, then connect the zigbee controller to the zigbee gateway. The specific operation is as follows:

a). Enable Bluetooth on your phone and connect to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Download the Paneralux App via the QR code on the controller and complete the registration to access the app's home page.

b). Power on the Zigbee gateway and ensure that the pairing indicator light is rapidly flashing red, and the blue light is steady. (If the indicator light shows a different status, press "Reset" for 5 seconds until the red light flashes rapidly.)

c). Make sure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Open the Paneralux App, click the upper right corner "Add Device", then add Zigbee gateway, select "Gateway Control," and click "Wireless Gateway (Zigbee)."

d). Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi account and password on the page. (5G Wi-Fi is not supported.) Once the app detects the Zigbee gateway, click "+" to complete the connection.

Connection between Zigbee controller and App:

e). After successfully adding the gateway, return to the home page and click "Gateway" - "Add Sub-device."

f). Set the controller to single-color/RGB mode. Note: The white light on the controller indicates white & blue light mode, and the red light indicates RGB mode. Using RGB controller as an example:

Step4. On the app's home page, click "Add device" to enter a new page. Under "discovering devices," click "Add," and then click "+" to select the controller. (At this point, a Wi-Fi connection page will appear. Input your home Wi-Fi information.)

Step5. Wait a few seconds for the controller and app to successfully connect. (If the connection fails, you can click to reconnect.)

Paneralux's remote control has been connected to the controller before shipment, and there is no need to make any further connections. If you find that they cannot connect during use, you can follow the steps below to complete the connection.

Using the RGB remote control as an example:

Step1. Set the controller to RGB mode. Long-press the button on the controller for 3 seconds. After this, the purple light on the controller will turn off and then light up again.

Step2. Keep holding the button without releasing it. The controller will enter the light mode selection.

Step3. The indicator light will cycle through white-yellow-red-green-blue lights. Release the button when the indicator light turns red. After two purple blinks, the indicator light will remain red. The controller is now in RGB mode.

Step4. Press the button on the controller once. The indicator light on the controller will blink. At the same time, press and hold the power button on the remote control. When the indicator light on the remote control turns on, it means the connection is successful.

Note: The connection process for both single-color and RGB remote controls is the same. To avoid repetition, users can proceed directly to step three after completing the connection between the controller and the app.

Under the pool deck or on the pool wall. Customers can choose the specific installation position based on the pool's actual conditions. Installation accessories package includes: expansion screws, side mounting clips, and top mounting clips. (Silicone adhesive is not included.)

How to Choose Mounting Clips and Quantity?

For installation under the pool deck, use side mounting clips. For installation on the pool wall, use top mounting clips. Use 1 mounting clip every 0.25 m.

Methods of Fixing the Light Strips:

Expansion screws or silicone adhesive. If using expansion screws, ensure that the pool deck thickness is ≥5cm. If using silicone adhesive for fixing, install the pool lighting strips after the silicone adhesive has cured for 24 hours.

Important notes:

1.Before installing pool lighting strips, first power them up to check for issues like dead LEDs or missing colors.

2.During installation, avoid completely unwinding the LED strip from the spool and refrain from using excessive force when removing it.

3.When installing pool lighting strips at bends, secure them with a mounting clip on each side of the bend, positioned 10cm away. Ensure there is a gap between the LED strip and the bend, avoiding complete adherence.

4.LED strips can be bent at angles ≥60° and can be routed around walls with a thickness ≥4cm.

5.Follow the provided instructions for installing pool lighting strips on different surfaces within the pool area.

6.Our pool lighting strips are designed to only bend vertically along the non-illuminating side; twisting or bending in other directions is prohibited.

 

Yes! The lights can be controlled by APP or remote controllers, supporting WIFI and Bluetooth connections to ALEXA and Google Home Assistant voice control. Please check remote control LED pool strip lights in the below video:

 

The maximum control distance of remote control with our APP in an open and unobstructed place is 30m, which is the distance between your controller or cellphone and the sensors.

1. Mock up the installation of the light strip along the swimming pool and mark the excess to mark point A.
2. Cut the pool light strip 50mm forward at the marked point A point. (The cutting length of different colors of pool light strips is not the same, white pool light strip cutting length: 50mm, every 7 lamp beads cutting; blue pool light strip cutting length: 41.7mm, every 6 lamp beads cutting; RGB pool light strip cutting length: 50mm, every 6 lamp beads cutting. )
3. Light up the strip and find the last lighted lamp bead, marked as B. Make sure that point B is in front of point A and the light is normal at point B.
4. Remove the strip after point B along the cut mark.
5. Begin resealing the strip by inserting the semi-cylindrical plug into the inside of the strip, making sure the retaining spacer is fully inserted into the strip.
6. Insert the end of the strip inside the base and fill the base with silicone rubber. Make sure all gaps are filled with silicone rubber. This step will directly affect the waterproof performance of the strip.
7. Place the center stand into the base and fasten the cover with stainless steel screws.
8. Wait 24 hours for the silicone rubber to cure, and then install the strip and light it for inspection after 24 hours.

The light strip is stored by a reel, and it is forbidden to pull the light strip violently. Improper unfolding of the light strip and violent pulling of the light strip will also cause irreversible damage to the light strip, such as color loss, light failure and other problems.

A.The correct way to open the light strip: There is a tube in the box, use the tube to pass through the reel, turn the reel to roll out the light strip horizontally.

B.Two people are required for installation, one person drags the reel, and the other gently pulls out the light strip for installation

Prohibition: Put the reel flat on the ground to take out the light strip.

Prohibition: One end of the swimming pool light strip is suspended in the air during installation.

Prohibition: Roll out the whole light strip from the reel and lay it on the ground randomly.

Allowed: Light strip bend along the non-luminous surface.

Allowed: Light strip bending angle ≥ 60°

2.Install at 90° corner?

Allowed: 10cm/4in on both sides of the corner to fix with a mounting buckle, keep a certain gap between the light strip and the corner (>1.65in)。

Prohibition: The light strip is completely tightly fitted to the corner.

Prohibition: Installed at a bend angle <60° (wall thickness less than 4cm).

For installation under the pool coping, use the "Side Mounting Buckle"; for installation on the pool wall, use the "Top Mounting Buckle".

1.Mounting buckle fixing method

If you choose the glue fixing method, please buy our recommended brand and type of silicone glue or use your own equivalent brand and type of silicone glue.

How to apply the glue to the buckle?

1.1. Evenly spread the glue on the mounting surface of the mounting buckle base;

1.2. Paste the mounting buckle base to the set position;

1.3. The pasted mounting buckle needs to be naturally cured at room temperature up to 24 hours before putting the light strip in it.

 Note: The installation buckle setting location needs to be cleaned hygienically to prevent the fixing effect from being affected by residual dust, cement, paint and other foreign substances.

2.Mounting Buckle Spacing Setting

2.1 Side mounting buckle

2.1.1.Power cable straight out strip: set the first side mounting buckle 11cm (4.33in) since the center of the threading hole, see ① ;

2.1.2.Power cable side outlet strip: Set the first side mounting buckle 9cm (3.54in) since the center of the threading hole, see ②;

2.1.3.Set the second side mounting buckle at 25cm (≈10in) and so on, see ③;

2.1.4.In case of corner, put one side mounting buckle on each side of the corner at a distance of 10cm (4in) from the corner, see ④;

2.1.5.The last mounting buckle should be set by the end position of the strip after the whole strip is fixed on the mounting buckle, see ⑤.

2.2 Top mounting buckle

2.2.1.Power cable straight out & side out strip: Set the first top mounting buckle 11cm (4.33in) from the center of the threading hole, see ① ;

2.2.2.Set the second top mounting buckle at 25cm (≈10in) and so on, see ②;

2.2.3. In case of corner, put one top mounting buckle on each side of the corner at a distance of 10cm (4in) from the corner, see ③;

2.2.4.The last mounting buckle is set by the end position of the strip after the whole strip is fixed on the mounting buckle, see ④.

 If fixed with glue, the pasted installation buckle needs to be naturally cured at room temperature for 24 hours before placing the light strip inside the buckle.

Please install the pool light strip in order segment by segment. Not fixing the light strip section by section will cause the head of the light strip to be pulled and disconnected, resulting in the whole light strip not being lit.

The last mounting buckle at the end of the light strip should be added after the light strip arrangement is completed and the position is determined (refer to 6. Mounting buckle fixing method).

This garden decorative light strip supports cutting, every 6 led beads/100mm can be cut. The specific operation is as follows:

1. Confirm the length to be cut. Please note that the minimum cutting length of the light strip is 10cm.
2. Find the two horizontal rows of copper soldering discs on the strip, and take this as the cutting point to cut.
3. Light up the strip to make sure that there is no dead light or lack of color after cutting.
4. Insert the anti-spill plug into the cutout and make sure it is fully embedded in the cutout of the strip.
5. Squeeze the silicone adhesive inside the sealing plug to ensure that the sealing adhesive completely fills the inside of the plug.
6. Plug the cut end of the strip into the sealant-filled tail plug and allow to cure at room temperature for 24 hours.

 

It should be noted that the length of a single strip of the RGB/RGBW version after cutting cannot exceed 15 meters, otherwise there will be color difference when brightening white light.

Firstly, the RGB version has a single-ended power cord for 10 and 15 m, and two-ended power cords for 20 and 25 m, while the RGBW version has a single-ended power cord for 10 m and two-ended power cords for 20 m.

The design of two-end power cords is to ensure that the overall brightness of the ultra-long garden strip remains consistent. Because after the length of the strip exceeds 15 m, the single-ended power supply will lead to a large voltage difference between the beginning and the end of the strip, which will result in a high brightness at one end and a low brightness at the other. In order to prevent this from happening, it is designed to be powered from both ends for lengths over 15 m.

This garden light can be mounted on poolside, patio, stairs, outdoor deck, flower beds and more. You can use screws or ties to secure the mounting clasp.

1.Tie fixing

For mounting surfaces where you do not want to punch holes it is recommended that you use either tie wraps or silicone adhesive to secure the light strip. Ties should be used in conjunction with mounting buckles; you can also apply silicone adhesive directly to the back of the strip to secure it to the mounting surface without using mounting buckles.

2.Screw fixing

Screws can be used for mounting surfaces that can be perforated. When the mounting surface is made of wood, plastic or metal, screws can be used directly to fix the mounting buckle. When the mounting surface is made of concrete or stone, it is necessary to use expansion tubes.

We have the power cable splicing kit for cutting, butting and sealing. Kit includes: 1 piece ratchet crimping pliers, 2 adhesive coated gloves, 1 pack of heat shrink intermediate tube, 1 pack of double wall type heat shrink tube. Users need to prepare their own hot air guns and wire strippers.

You can use the remote change the light to warm white. It’s not the light failure. Because the RGBW path way light have 2 kings of white: one is RGB light mixed the natural light and one is the single warm white. When you use the remote control color palette to adjust the light to a mixed white light, the default is RGB mode. Pressing the "W" button at this time is equivalent to superimposing warm white light onto the white light of a three-color mix. This will cause the warm white color is not pure. It is very simple to debug the warm white light, just use the remote control to turn off the light strip, and then press the "W" button, then it is pure warm white light.

The "paneralux" App not support Alexa, google home connection for now. Users can download TUYA's App "Smart Life" to realize it. 1. Transformer input connection

a. Unscrew the end cover of the waterproof junction box and pass the high-voltage power wire (provided by the customer) into the waterproof junction box.

b.  Insert the 3 cores of the wire into the terminals respectively.

    The red terminal - power wire AC L

    Yellow terminal - power wire Ground

    Blue terminal - power wire AC N

c. Tighten the end caps at both ends to ensure IP67 waterproofing, and secure the top cover with screws.

2. Transformer output connection

a. Connect the wires at the output end of the transformer to the controller。

Plug the red wire into the "+" of the controller and the black wire into the "-" of the controller and lock it.

b. Tighten the end caps of the waterproof box to ensure IP67 waterproofing, and fix the top cover with screws.

Paneralux adopts modular design, which is convenient for customers to purchase, and ensures the universality of the accessories. We have interconnect version of pool light strip with power cord on both sides which can be interconnected with pool light strip with single side power cord. There are 3 length sizes available, 0.5m/1m/3m.If you need longer length of interconnected version pool light strip please contact us, we can customize the length for you.

1. first confirm the area where you need to install the pool light strip.
2. If your pool is not yet fully constructed and only has design drawings. We suggest you to send us the complete pool design drawings. （We will calculate the length of the pool strip for you according to your needs.
3. If your swimming pool has already been constructed. Please let us know the dimensions of the pool area where you want to install the pool light strip and make sure the data is accurate.
4. In order to avoid ordering insufficient length of swimming pool light strip, we suggest customers to order longer length of light strip appropriately. For example, if you need 34 meters of pool light strip, please order 1*pc 20m pool light strip + 1*pc 15m pool light strip. Customers cut the extra length of light strip by themselves when installing. This will ensure that the pool light strip you order meets the pool size.

There are 3 reasons why this can happen.

1. The pool dimensions provided by the customer are incorrect.

The customer calculated the circumference of the pool based on the pool design drawings. And there is an error between the actual circumference of the pool and the design drawing. If your pool is not built yet in the design drawing stage, please increase the length of the ordered pool light strip appropriately. For example, the size of the design drawings for 100ft pool, the actual length of the pool light tape order for 103ft, increase the margin of 3%. Our light strip can be cut, customers can adjust the length of the light strip after installation according to the actual size of the pool.

 

2. Wrong measurement method

For curved pools and shaped pools, there will be some errors even if the customer has made field measurements. In this case, we suggest customers to increase the length of the light strip.

 

3. Failure to maintain a straight line between mounting clips or profiles. Please make sure that all the mounting buckles and profiles are installed in the same straight line, otherwise it will increase the actual installation length of the strip. Customers can appropriately increase the length of pool light strips ordered, our pool light strips support cutting.
