How to Design Pool Lighting for a Pool Under Construction

Published: Last Updated: Estimated Reading time: 2 mins

If your pool is under construction, then we can design the proper distribution and mounting locations for your pool lighting. Many pools that have already been built to install pool light strips run into a lot of problems with wiring harness concealment. For example, the power cord for the light strip cannot be hidden by pre-built conduit. The pool deck is not thick enough to allow the light strip to be secured with expansion bolts. We can recommend the right size of pre-buried conduit for you, and the right installation based on the size of your pool deck. This is the pool lighting plan we designed for Randy's pool under construction:

Randy's Pool Overview:

Randy's Pool Overview

Randy's pool lighting needs:

  1. The whole pool is divided into two parts: the pool body and the walkway.
  2. The pool part needs 1144cm (450.4in) pool light strip, installed under the pool deck.
  3. The walkway part needs two light strips respectively: 497cm (195.7in) and 670cm (263.8in)
  4. Pool body part and walkway light strip need to be controlled separately.
  5. Please recommend the right size of pre-buried pipe to hide the extra wiring harness.
